RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults)
This is the process of welcoming unbaptized adults, as well as baptized Catholics who have not received Holy Communion and / or Confirmation, and persons baptized in other denominations who wish to be members of the Catholic Church. Included in this is catechesis, celebrations of the Word, as well as acquaintance with doctrine and Church teachings. Sponsors are practicing Catholics who share with the candidates and catechumens on their journey.
